I am a psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist specializing in the intersection of cognition, behavioral health, and performance, particularly in high-stress environments.
I received my Ph.D. in Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience Division) from the University of Miami and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Previously, I was a Research Psychologist supporting NASA Johnson Space Center’s Behavioral Health and Performance Laboratory, where I conducted research on the behavioral medicine, team, and sleep risks associated with human spaceflight and living in isolated, confined, and extreme environments. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Cognitive Science at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
My research has been published in neuroscience and psychology journals including Cerebral Cortex, PAIN, npj Microgravity, Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Psychology, and Cognitive, Affective, & Behavioral Neuroscience.
